Keep lipstick off of your teeth. After applying lipstick, make an “O” shape with your lips, put your index finger halfway into your mouth and slowly pull out, letting your lips roll over the finger. Any excess color will glide onto your finger and not on your teeth.

Do not apply moisturizer after waxing your upper lip. Apply sweet almond oil to the spot, then apply a cold compress or bag of frozen food to the area for a few minutes. This will make the redness go down and stop irritation.
